Ministry: Russia to allocate 108 bln rbl to aviation in 2024–2026

MOSCOW, Oct 27 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will allocate 107.9 billion rubles to the aviation industry in 2024–2026, Anna Panina, direction of the aviation industry department of the Industry and Trade Ministry, said late on Thursday during a session of the parliament’s upper chamber Federation Council.

“The program was approved in 2014. We adjust its figures and structure every year. The term of the program has been prolonged until 2030, and its goal is to satisfy demand of the domestic Russian carriers with national aviation aircraft engineering. It has a goal of expanding the share of Russia-made aircraft in the fleet of carriers to at least 50% of planes and 90% of helicopters until 2030,” she said.

The government will spend 107.9 billion rubles on the program in 2024–2026 with imports substitution of key aircraft component parts and equipment being the main goal. Russia plans to raise the output of MC-21, Sukhoi Superjet, Tu-214, and LMS-901 Baikal aircraft, she said.
